Diversity Week

Exposure to cultures different from our own is vital in understanding how these values, beliefs and attitudes influence health. Therefore, as part of Diversity Week, the Office of Minority Health & Health Disparities holds daily activities designed to celebrate the cultures that make us unique. The Arkansas Department of Health believes these differences enrich our organization and give us all a deeper insight into the communities we serve.  Understanding that diversity is about accepting and embracing our individual differences, the ADH strives to provide an inclusive organization where these differences are respected. At the end of each week, our activities culminate into the Taste of World extravaganza where employees are encouraged to bring food from their cultural backgrounds as we celebrate the many diverse cultures represented at ADH.
