Membership  - CATRAC shall include and coordinate with all agencies that are associated with trauma services in the central region of Arkansas to assure that trauma system requirements are met, appropriate input is gathered relating to current issues, and the CATRAC mission is accomplished. Entities eligible for membership in CATRAC must be an Arkansas licensed or certified health care agency.

Mission - CATRAC is an organized group of healthcare entities and emergency responders who have an interest in organizing and improving trauma care within central Arkansas. The primary purpose is to design, implement and perform ongoing evaluation of a trauma system within the region and our state. Through standardization of care, data collection, peer review, and needs assessment, CATRAC will create and implement a systems assessment and quality process which work to improve the outcome of all trauma patients, consistent with the provisions of Ark. Code Ann. 20-13-819 and the “Trauma System Act”, Act 393 of 2009.   CATRAC will strive to assure that its members provide appropriate trauma care.  CATRAC will serve as a quality improvement and peer review member of the Governor’s Trauma Advisory Council, sanctioned by the Arkansas Department of Health to carry out such activities.
CATRAC is a network of providers with an interest in reducing traumatic injuries and death through public education, continuous process improvement and injury prevention programs.  The organization will also play a role in increasing trauma system awareness throughout the region.
