All services are private and confidential. Services are provided for little to no cost. Clients are asked to pay according to a fee scale based on Federal Poverty Guidelines, family size and income. Eligible females can enroll in the Medicaid Women’s Health Waiver which provides coverage for family planning services - contact your local health office to enroll. No one will be refused services because they do not have money to pay. Anyone, male or female, needing family planning services can be seen at any local health unit.
Family Planning is an important part of the Department of Health’s efforts to reduce teen pregnancy, prevent unintended pregnancies, to reduce the number of infant deaths and the number of infants born too early, to reduce sexually transmitted diseases and to improve the health of women and men of all ages. The Program Guidelines for Project Grants for Family Planning Services (Title X Guidelines) has been developed by the Office of Population Affairs (OPA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
