Sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death-nearly 400,000 out-0f-hospital heart attacks occurs annually in the US. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency procedure which is performed in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person in cardiac arrest. Most people, who experience cardiac arrest at home, work or in a public location die because they don’t receive immediate CPR from someone on the scene. The American Heart Association (AHA) is pumping new life into a 70’s disco classic, “Stayin” Alive” to help save lives.
