Order Divorce Records

Q: What divorce records are available?

The Arkansas Department of Health does not have the actual divorce decree. If you want a copy of the actual decree, you must contact the Circuit Clerk office where the divorce was recorded. The Arkansas Department of Health issues a certified copy of the coupon of divorce in paper form, which is accepted by all state and federal government offices.

Only Arkansas divorce records are housed at the Arkansas Department of Health; divorce records from other states should be requested from the vital records offices in those other states (click here for the directory).

The Arkansas Department of Health has divorce records dating from January 1923. Divorces occurring before this date are not recorded in this office.
